The River Place Hotel faces the Willamette River and is located just minutes from all downtown attractions. Many wonderful shops and restaurants line the path next to the hotel. For those who like luxury, a beautiful condominium complex is also located in this idyllic spot.
The Hawthorne Bridge is one in a series of eight bridges which connect the east and west sides of Portland. In front of the bridge is part of Tom McCall Waterfront Park. This park is home to many activities throughout the year including The Rose Festival Fun Center, Neighborhood Fare, The Microbrew Festival, and The Bite. Paths along the river are perfect for biking, walking, or in-line skating.

Portland's Rose Festival is a 2 week long celebration in June which includes the Navy fleet coming to town, a fun center with rides and food, an airshow, a car race, and three parades. The Grand Floral Parade was voted the 4th best parade in America behind Pasadena's Rose Bowl Parade, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the New Orleans Mardi Gras.
Portland's Downtown Marriot is located across the street from Waterfront Park.
